Despite having parents who fail to appreciate her intelligence, Matilda finds comfort in books and learning. When she begins school at Crunchem Hall, she encounters the terrifying headmistress Miss Trunchbull, whose strict and often cruel rules make life difficult for students. Fortunately, Matilda also meets the kind and supportive Miss Honey, a teacher who recognizes Matilda’s remarkable abilities and encourages her to believe in herself.
Matilda forms friendships with her classmates and discovers mysterious powers of her own. She realizes how to harness that energy, proving that even the smallest person can make a big difference. With determination, humor, and bravery, Matilda challenges injustice.
